ABOUT Mr. Kovacs ...

I'm currently in my 22nd year of teaching and have spent the last 16 years here at ENSS. I'm thrilled to be teaching outdoor & physical education. I'm also the lead teacher in ENSS' Environmental High Skills Major (SHSM) program, which is now entering its 12th year… wow!
This past summer was my first one in 10 years where I did not spend a portion of my time guiding canoe trips for two private Toronto based canoe outfitters (Wilderness Adventures & Get Out Toronto). I did still manage to squeeze in 3-day personal canoe trip to Kawartha Highlands PP and a 4-day family canoe trip to Algonquin Highlands. Rick Vermeiren even managed to join us for both canoe trips. Loads of fun was had by all and plans are already in the works for next year.
I’m hoping that the 2022-23 school year will run smoothly (without a return to on-line learning!) and we can return to some semblance of normal soon!
