I'm currently in my 23rd year of teaching and have spent the last 17 years here at ENSS. I'm thrilled to be teaching outdoor & physical education. I'm also the lead teacher in ENSS' Environmental High Skills Major (SHSM) program, which is now entering its 13th year… wow!
This past summer I had a chance go on a 6-day ORCKA canoe tripping 2 instructors course way up in Temagami. That part of northeastern Ontario is just breathtaking, and the lakes were so serene that it was worth the almost 6 hour drive! I also managed to head up to Kawartha Highlands PP for a 3-day family canoe trip with both Mr. Vermeiren and Ms. Doornbos. Loads of fun was had by all and plans are already in the works for next year. I’m hoping that the 2023-24 school year will run smoothly and that all our school OE adventures have a safe and happy ending! |
